Easter

THe moms group that i joined had thier own egg hunt. THe kids had alot of fun.

For april, we were busy busy busy. We had an easter egg hunt with church. We went to my sisters house in San diego. It was really fun and The kids enjoyed hanging out with all their cousins.

On May 13th, was my Ashleys 3rd Birthday!!!! she is getting so big. For her birthday I invited my parents over for dinner and cake. I made homemade tacos, rice, beans, sweet corn cake and salad. It turned out so fun. This was the first dinner that I hosted at my house. I never do it becasue we are in an apartment and i feel like i cant fit people in our house, but it all worked out well. In fact, i may just have to do it more.

I think it turned out pretty good for my first time making one. I realized that i needed a deeper bowl to make the dress and i didnt have have a good barbie to put in it. so that doll looks knda scruffy. All in all it turned out ok. Antoine insisted on buying her a cake though. He HAD to put her picture on it. SO we ate the professional one!!!!!!!!!! And it was YUMMMY

Last week i went to a cake decorating class taught by a lady from church, so stay tuned. My next cakes will be awesome!!!!!!

I know its been forever since my at post, but ill try to catch up.

In March antoine and I went to the Newport Beach Temple and finally took out our endowments. It was a cool experience and not nearly as scary as everyone made it out to be. I was suprised on how well antoine took it all in.

The same day we got sealed to ashley and avery. They were so cute in their white temple outfits. I wish i got a picture of them, but i didnt :( Taitlynne didnt get sealed to us, but she was there at the temple. thank you to Cindy for watching the kids for us.

Christmas at moms.

Christmas day we went to my moms house. All nine grandkids were there so it was alot of fun for the kids. My mom set up a story of christmas play. The charactors were puppets made of felt. The kids would each have a part and then after each speaking part we would all sing christmas songs. It was really cute.
After the play, we ate dinner. Avery was so tired he fell asleep at the table.

This is a picture of the quilt that my mom made for avery. I had requested for her to make a "cowboy" theme blanket for him. I wanted a retro look at first but when we were looking at fabric, we saw these patterns and i think they look really cute together. The boot in the middle is made of this cool fabric that looks like leather. My mom made the boot herself. The back of the blanket is that soft fabric with the little bumps on it ( forgot the name) I am so thankful that my mom is so talented. All my kids have been made a blanket from her.


Everytime we go to my moms house antoine sits down in the chair and falls asleep. We all laugh at him. I thought i would use my new camera and take some pitcures this time. Merry Christmas!!!!!

Christmas 2008

Yay!!! Christmas is finally here. We have been waiting so long. This is Ashleys first year of really understanding who Santa is, and WHat happends on christmas. SheShe woke up her old cranky self until we told her that santa came and she got to open her presents now. She quickly turned her bad attitude around and was hyper the rest of the day. She loved all the toys she got and THREW the clothes she opened.

This was avery's first christmas this year. He actually seemed to like to open presents. He got a bunch of toys but they seemed to have all been taken over by ashley 5 minutes after he opened them.

All Taitlynne wanted this year was toys. (barbies at that, yeah shes 11!?!?!?)
She got a bunch of high school musical dolls, playdough, clothes, shoes, and a craft box, gift cards a bed set. Next week she will have another christmas at her dads house. (lucky her)

knotts

This year i decided to take the kids to knotts for the Toys for Tots drive. I didnt know what to expect since we have never been. I thought it would be way overcrowded miserable.

Antoine got off work that morning and was going to sleep for a couple hours before meeting us there, so i invited one of taitlynnes friends to come along. I knew it would be much fun for taitlynne since i was stuck with the kids by myself.

The park was actually NOT crowded (not till the late afternoon anyways) We saw the parade, the snoopy ice show, and I walked around with the kids while Taitlynne and her friend was in the lines for the rides.

Santa was gone everytime we went to see him, so that was a bummer.

I think we may make this a yearly tradition.

Thanksgiving

I know a little late, but i just got a camera and now i'm able to post some pictures up that we took over thanksgiving.

This year we went to Antoines Aunts house for Thanksgiving. We dont get to see her much since she lives in the high desert, so we thought we would spend this holiday with her.

Afterwards, we went to my moms house to spend time with the family and have some desert.
