Valentines day!!!!

Valentines day is here!!!!! Although, you might not know it at my house. I have NO decorations.





I saw on a blog a cute idea, to make conversation hearts out of salt dough.

You color the dough cut them out like sugar cookies, cook them for a couple hours and then string them up with some ribbon.

I was really lacking this year tho. I didnt have anything to string them on, so they just got bunched up by my front door. Next year ill do better...



This year Valentines was Lots of fun. Ashley said it was the "funnest Valentines day Ever" First we woke up, well, I was woke up by antoine with some roses. Then the kids gave daddy a valentines card they made at school.





We then got to take daddy to school with us today. We just started a preschool a couple weeks ago where the parents attend with the kids. They LOVE it. But daddy hasnt been been with them yet. And since daddy had today off. We got to take him with us. We had lots of fun playing and got to make come valentines crafts.

Later that day we got to go to dinner with gramma and grampa. We made them some cookies earlier that morning and avery got to give them the card that he made. Was such a fun day. I am blessed to have such and awesome family. I Love you all so much!!!

a project ive been working on....

i had been wanting to paint the girls beds upstairs ever since we got them a couple years ago as hand me downs. they were in kinda rough shape.


so i took them apart, and bought some paint and painted. LIttle did i know how big of a job it would be.




First i primed them, then painted. and painted, and painted. the wood sides came out ok, but the wicker part in the middle keeps absorbing the paints.


















I had to keep buy and buy more paint. It got really expensive, so i just gave up. i put ashleys bed together so she could sleep on it, (ill finish it in a couple weeks)

and the other bed, is still outside drying. Ill paint that one first. hopefully I can figure out how to paint the wicker. Any Ideas?????????


But in the end i know they will look really good. I like how they look so far.

Daddys week off yay

Antoine took a week off work, And we had a full week. Antoine just bought a new car the night before, so it was perfect timing. The first day, we took the kids to Los angeles. While down there, we went and ate lunch near the airport. The we got to sit outside and have the planes fly right above us. we stayed until the sunset.




The second day, we took the kids back to los angeles since I wanted to take them to the museum there. We went to the science center and saw lots of cool things. After going to the museum, we made a stop at antoines aunts house. He is 94 and very happy to see us. Perfect ending to a perfect day.

The 3rd day we took the kids to the beach.


4th day we took the kids to the snow in big bear. Took a long time to get ther since there was a road closed, and there was barely any snow left. After driving around and getting frustrated, we asked a real estate lady where we could take thekids to play. she told us about a park in a residential area. it was perfect. there were hills and lots of snow to play.













So fun to live here in so cal. one day we were making sand angels at the beach and less then 24 hours later we were making snow angeles.



































While at the museum, we got to see fish, got to be on the news (pretend) got to play in a tree houses and lots more. We cant wait to go back and see the rest.

We got to see rapunzel today. Avery liked her but ashley does not (rupunzel doesnt wear pink, that is why she doesntlike her.)

Fun in January

In january we went with my friend Melissa to Disneyland. We had lots of fun














THis year avery was sick with a fever on his birthday so the next weekend we invited gramma and grampa over to celebrate his 3rd birthday. Avery got a computer that you can play games on. He Loves it and plays it every night (and has to sleep with it too)

Here is what i did with some of my gift cards. I redid our room. I bought two tables, some curtains, a mirror and some pillows. I think it turned out nice!!!

Christmas!!!!!!!

On Christmas eve, i decided i would try out a new tradition. We made pizzas for our dinner. The kids had so much fun putting the toppings on. For me and taitlynne, I made a White out pizza. Was ok, but i think ill try another recipe next time.
















Avery couldnt quite wait up for santa. H fell asleep too quick. We left yummy cookies for santa and carrots for the reindeer.





Christmas morning was aswesome. Santa brought so many toys. @ babies, a doll bed and a walking pup were amung some of ashleys present. Avery for a BIKE, cars and a basketball hoop.. Taitlynne got shoes, clothes, a guitar hero, gift card and other things......

Later that day we went to Aunt caras house to celebrate with the family. We all got some really nice stuff.
This is a skirt/tutu that Aunt Megan made for ashley. Looks so cute and she loves it.
Taitlynne scored on gift cards, which she used to get wii games, and other things.
