movies in the park

Last week I finally gave in and made some cupcakes. I had been wanting to make them for a while, but fought the urge since i dont need the calories. here is out they came out. I stuff them with frosting too. Taitlynne ended up taking most of them to her friends house to give away. That worked out well for me. I dont have very good self control. I would probably eat them all.

Last night a friend and I took our kids to see the movie in the park that was going on in Dana Point. The location was so pretty. It overlooked the ocean. They gave out free popcorn, so the kids loved that. Before the movie they had music and all the kids were running all around.

Too bad the I didnt find out about this sooner. They were doing this the whole month of june only. This was the last weekend. We will for sure go next year. IT was really fun

summer picnic at salt creek

last weekend We decided to kick off summer with a picnic in the park. It was a perfect day. I barbequed chicken and hamburgers and we played games, ball, and flew a kite. It was ashley and averys first time flying a kite. They got one for easter so its was time to use it, finally. Oh and we played with the squirrels that COME UP TO YOU. I started to get scared for a second, casue i thought the squirrel was going to climb on me.

Antoine had so much fun teaching the kids how to fly the kite. I think He had more fun then the kids.

We had so much fun, i think we will be doing this alot over the summer. The kids had so much fun and i LOVE salt creek beach. It is so pretty.

Averys 1st birthday.

This post is a little out of oder, sorry. I was averys 1st birthday Jan 13th. We celebrated by going to my parents house and had dinner and cake. My brother was down from school. so it was nice to visit with him too.


We has a cake with Elmo made for avery since he LOVES Elmo. They gave us a little cake for free so that he could "dig in" Dumb me, picked the brightest BLUE frosting and it was fun getting off his skin.

new member of the family.

Since our kitty "Toby" ran away a couple months ago, i swore that we would not be getting anymore cats until we moved to a house. As you can see, I couldnt resist. I saw the cutest orange kitty and had to get him. After many attempts of giving him a name, i think the final name is "jasper" Yes, jasper from twighlight!!!!! lol

I picked "jasper" up while taitlynne was in school and he was scared all day and hid behind the couch. When Taitlynne got home from school, we didnt tell her about anything. After a couple min. I pulled the couch away from the wall and i was pretending to get something that fell. I asked taitlynne to get behind the couch and get the "thing" for me. That is when she saw 2 eyes staring back at her. Since then, all she does is play with him.

"jasper" is antoines new buddy. This cat hangs by him and sits by him whenever he is around. Antoine was against me getting the kitten in the first place. Now you can tell its his little buddy.

in June, i went to Disneyland with my friend rachel and her son calvin. She showed me so much i didnt know about california adventure, and disneyland. I cant wait to go back and show Antoine all the stuff that she showed us.

Avery was SOOOOOO tired. He couldnt stay up any longer and fell asleep in while i was holding him in line.

Avery loved this play area. he liked the ropes and the bridges. THis will have to be one of our frequent stops at cali adventure.

She did better then me on this climby thingy. note to self: dont wear flip flops while climbing ropes.

This was the ride we went on ( roger rabbit, i think) You can see in averys eyes that he was a little scared. lol.

The end of may there was a mother daughter camping trip for church. It was really fun. Me and taitlynne brought our tent and she went camping for the first time in her life. I think she loved it, even though it was raining (lightly) She got to know alot of the older girls that she will be joining in church once she turns 12. She is going to girls camp this summer with them and will have so much fun.

That night the girls prepared a stew and cooked it over the fire. IT was really good and perfect on a cold night. also, after we were done eating. The moms were all given trashbags that we put over us. Then the daughters had to make their own fashions and then we modeled them for everyone. it was fun.

In the morning we woke up, cleaned up our camp and went on a 5 mile hike. I loved the hike and im thinking about going back. It was really pretty.

First beach trip of the season

Since it was hot in april, we decided to all go to the beach. Avery has never been to the beach to play (except for once when he was a little baby) My batteries were dying on my camera, so i didnt get alot of pics. Taitlynne was there too, but she was grumpy and i didnt take any pics of her! lol

We waited in line over an hour to see MInnie MOuse. IT was hot, Ashley was tired As you can probly tell on this picture.

When got got our taxes back we decided to buy passes for the family for Disneyland. Ashley would always talk about going to see the princesses and we were finally able to take her.
